Welcome to our web site!

We have been keeping fish on and off since 1996. We started off with the usual planted tropical tank but, to be honest, our tank husbandry was naive to say the least and we soon got bored. Our lfs was then very much into Rift Valley cichlids and we got ourselves hooked. We traded in our tropicals and filled our wee 36"x12"x18" tank with rock and proceeded to stock with various Malawi's. We really enjoyed this tank and had a fair bit of success with breeding - it was a real thrill to see those babies. However, we decided we needed to move to a bigger house (our son just refused to stop growing up) and that the best thing was to break down the tank and trade in our beloved fish before putting the house on the market.

Needless to say, after about a year in our new house we decided we couldn't go any longer without a fish tank. The plan was to go back to Malawi cichlids but on 'a visit to our lfs prior to stocking our new tank, did a major U-turn and decided on marines instead.   That was in 2004 and we have never looked back.  We now have three tanks, two of which have been upgraded during their lifetimes.  We are very proud of all the tanks and in May 2007 our main reef won Tank of the Month on Reef Corals forum.  Many many thanks to everyone who voted for it, we are well chuffed.
